NOOOO touchy...no touch

What a week! Yesterday was our 9 week mark. Our baby is officially a fetus! I was super excited for some reason. I have this app called My Pregnancy (seriously is the best one I've found) and it tells me what's developing during that week. It's amazing how fast babies grow!

Now in reference to the title, I have been the total opposite of cuddly the past two days. It's as if every time Riley tries to touch me it tickles or it's just really uncomfortable for some reason. It's very annoying. Especially since Riley and I are very cuddly people.

(this is seriously the least cuddly picture I have of us)

Other than that everything has been going really well. My nausea has been going on and off so hopefully it will be gone by the 14 week mark.

I've had some trouble staying asleep and waking up feeling sore which hasn't been fun. Luckily the app I got had a section about sleep trouble so I found a nifty trick. I'm already sleeping on my side but I decided to try that and have a pillow between my legs. It sounds weird but I haven't been waking up sore and I've slept super well.

That's about it. I'm just getting impatient to hear the baby's heart beat. I'm also kind of nervous. At first I thought it would be really amazing to have twins (and it would) but when I started thinking of the logistics I thought, "Oh please just be one!" We'll see. Whether it's one heartbeat or two it will be a great experience.

Have a great day!

  1. A body pillow was my best friend. I seriously couldn't sleep without it. And in all the stuff I read it always said to sleep on your left side but I couldn't! I tried but I would wake up on my right side. When I was in the hospital (in labor) they told me to lay on my left side and a few minutes later they came back in and said "Okay, the baby isn't getting enough oxygen so roll to your right." And then everything was fine. Moral of the story: listen to your body :) You won't go wrong!
