DDR & Pinterest
I've finally worked out my exercise regiment! Haha...that was punny...just so you know I only got 4 hours of sleep last night so that's why this post is a tad loopy. No, I'm not on mind altering drugs. Lack of sleep sometimes has the same effect though.
I used to hate working out, it was difficult, I didn't want to plan it out, etc. I was skinny and I consider myself an attractive person so I honestly didn't see a need to.
Since having Jax though I'm learning that being skinny is not the reason to work out. The overall lack of energy has been rough, and since I've been in shape before I really felt the difference.
I used to be incredibly active through childhood, junior high, and high school. I was playing all kinds of sports, but especially basketball. I was then pulled into cross country. That really got me in shape. Indian Runs are the worst.
I am now attempting to get back into shape. I am not doing P90X, if I was doing that I would be dead right now. The way I've been working out is a bit different, but we've figured it out. I say we because if Jax is a butt during my workout routine it doesn't happen.
After breakfast Jax goes in the jumper and I pull out the DDR pad. I put it in workout mode and Jax watches me jump around for 10 minutes. After that I was having a hard time figuring out what to do, but then I went to the magical place which is Pinterest and found this pin:
By the way, they totally photo shopped this girls face on my body...just saying.
I'm also starting to do yoga at night once Jax is asleep. It's already helping my energy, hopefully I'll be able to play a full game of basketball without passing out soon.
Other than that all of us got sick last Wednesday and we're almost over it. Jax is healed which is great, Riley and I still have a cough. It was a bad cold. I'm just glad that Jax is over it, he does not sleep well when he's sick. I love him dearly, but when he sleeps with mommy and daddy, mom ends up having her back kicked all night.
