Dear Lehites
Dear Lehites,
I don't think you guys know the impact that you've had in my life, I don't think you could ever fully know. I'm lucky enough to have great friends and solid groups of people who I honestly believe I'll be best friends with for the rest of my life, and I'm one of the super lucky people how who have two groups of friends like that.
So here is a small letter to you guys. I hope that it helps you catch a glimpse of the impact you have made on my life.
Brandon, thank you. Thank you for chasing me down the hallway at the Hillcrest debate tournament so you could talk to me. It was crazy, but I wouldn't have become such good friends with you otherwise. I also would never have met the group and been an adopted member of the Lehi debate team. That one crazy thing changed my life and I owe you big time.
David, thank you for volunteering your basement for the summer. It was a blast hanging out with you and the group. I got to know everyone better and it was a place that I felt safe and welcome.
Josh, thank you for messaging me on Facebook and insisting that we hang out again. We hadn't talked for awhile, and you still reached out and wanted to see me. Due to that message, Monday nights are now one of the highlights of my week. It wouldn't be happening if it wasn't for you.
Although there are huge chunks of time where we don't talk or hangout, it seems that you guys come into my life when you're most needed. I don't know if you realize this but I'm probably one of the most insecure people you know. I have a perfection complex and it's difficult for me to feel like I'm good enough.
All of you have the rare talent of making me feel like I'm great just the way I am, flaws and all. Even when I'm an idiot it doesn't phase you and I always feel loved and accepted. Thank you for being the people you are, and making me feel like I'm enough. Thank you for pulling Riley in the group so easily and being totally cool with Jax.
You're all amazing, never forget that. I hope that I can be half as good as friend as you have been to me.
Love,
Kaili
